Asyia fills your world with images from the Orient: the luster of coins and glitter, the radiance of colors, and the tones of Arabic music. Her sharp, controlled muscular movements, layering, keen musical awareness, and vivacious enthusiasm for the art of dance shine each time she performs.
Her performance specialty (available on its own or in conjunction with belly dance or hula) are fire props such as Poi, the art of spinning 2 balls on ropes in intricate patterns, utilized by cultures in various parts of the world including the Maori, Argentine cowboys, Chinese Monks and Raves. Other fire props include fire hip belts, palms, staff, orb, or fans.
